Hello and Welcome Teachers and Parents
You will be very excited to know that we have launched an exciting new life skill activity directed straight at the youth of now days. We have created an experiential tour for our 'health fanatic, knowledge craving' youngsters, and as we have just finished decorating our very own delightful Chocolate School, where children will feel absolutely mesmerised by the environment in which they will be having fun.
Those children that have had an ‘education' in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will most definitely appreciate the room in which they will develop their skills at chocolate making. Not to forget about the parents' appreciation of finally enjoying the peace and quiet while their children are in a state (though only short) of complete awe....

This 2 to 3 hour grand opportunity to visit our homely factory will include a tour of how our day to day factory operation works.
There is the oh so!! Very important COG - ‘ Chain Of Grain' . The youngsters are shown how a small single grain of rice sets off on a journey to become part of the ‘Bigger Picture' and how it goes from a simple grain to a puffed up Crunchy Rice Cake (Yummy). They will see how it goes from production to dispatch, to the store and then to YOU the consumer.
(Now this is my favourite part!!)

The children are then whisked off to our magnificent Chocolate School Room where they get to enjoy the fun activity of rolling up their sleeves and getting down and chocolaty in their very own practical chocolate lesson. Of course we have to add a scoop of education to this mixture as well , soooo before the youngsters get their eager little hands involved, they have to go through a few brief lessons/quiz on:
- Geography – We explain where chocolate originates from.
- Hygiene – We explain and show them how best to be prepared in order to handle food.
- Language – Reinforcing nouns and adjectives.
- Basic Application – We like to hear IDEAS from the children on what they can USE when they decide to raid YOUR kitchen to make some yummy chocolate goodies.
- CHOCOLATE – Last but not least we teach the children about the properties of chocolate. Who is the Chocolates FRIEND , and who is the Chocolates ENEMY .

We encourage this to be an inter-active lesson as we value the children's participation and ideas on all these topics. Plus this activity helps build up their self-esteem and self confidence. It's any activity with all winners and no losers. After a slap of this and a dash of that we get our hands involved and allow the children to make their own interesting and exciting chocolates.
They have a choice of different moulds and different filling to make their own amazing concoctions.
Once the finishing touches have been done and their most prized possessions are wrapped and stacked, we finish off the tour back at the Grain Chain where the children get to test their talents again and decorate some rice cakes with whatever they want to bring from home and if brave enough, eat them afterwards
Each child leaves here with not only a satisfactory smile and a twinkle of excitement in their eye but also a pack of DIY - ‘do it yourself' home making kit which includes moulds, chocolate, fillings as well as an English language homework kit. And of course not to forget – the memory!!....of an incredible adventure that will keep the pen flowing, the siblings listening and the brain knowing a lot more facts then it did several hours earlier.
